Land's End

We just ordered the girls new coats from Land's End and we couldn't be happier.  The best part is that they have 'grow with me' sleeves where we can remove the stitching in the cuff to allow more length in the arm.
Here are a few pictures we took yesterday morning before work/school enjoying the tiny bit of snow we got.

No More Cribs

My baby Abigail is now in her own twin bed.  Tears...for Momma!  She's very excited but has only slept one full night in her bed alone.  It's a work in progress, right?  I met my very best friend Alison to pick up the headboard and footboard she found for me.  You must check out her blog http://themoderncottagecompany.blogspot.com/ and see all that she does.  She's an incredible interior designer!
The bed needed to be sanded and painted and I did all that last Saturday in the frigid sunny wind!  I love the gray color as it's the same color as Isabelle's bed but I might repaint it white and embellish the headboard with a letter 'A.'
Here are some before and after pictures.

I really need to repaint and decorate their rooms...desperately!  Maybe Alison can help me!

Pizza Night

One of our favorite nights is Friday Night Pizza Night!  We normally pick up a u-bake pizza from our local pizzeria but we've also been known to bake and even barbecue pizza.  We love pizza!  At least Toby and I do and I hope we'll pass this on to Isabelle and Abigail.  Since it's cold and it doesn't make sense to barbecue last Friday I picked up already made pizza dough, pepperoni, Mozzarella cheese, Canadian bacon, arugula and pizza sauce from Trader Joe's.

I floured the cutting board and had each girl roll out their own mini pizza.

Isabelle was so good rolling out her own dough.
And adding sauce with the brush!

Abigail loved getting her hands dirty!

And adding the pizza sauce.
And lots of cheese!

Toby and I love pizza with pepperoni, Crimini mushrooms, red onions, cheese and arugula.

I'm back...almost a year later.

Happy Friday! I'm looking forward to the holiday weekend.

I can't beleive I haven't taken the time to blog about my family. I'm ashamed but I'm here to announce that I'm working harder to post regularly.

Here is a video of Abigail showing us some of her new signs she learned at school. (It's a little long).

The girls really loved Valentine's Day at school this week. We made Valentine's for their class last weekend (glassine bags filled with mini-playdoh and candy).

Tonight we're going to make individual pizza and watch a movie.
I'm happy to be back!
I'll be back soon.

Easter 2010

The Weller Family had a wonderful Easter. It was Isabelle's 3rd year at the annual Harvey Easter Egg hunt and she is finally understanding what it's all about. Although, she wants to pick up an egg and open it before moving on. Abigail had a fun weekend too.

We watched the Snohomish Easter Parade after the egg hunt. Nana & Papa Davis joined us. Sunday we celebrated with the Weller family. The girls were sure spoiled.

March 2010

It's been a wonderful month of March. The weather has been amazing! Here are some pictures to capture what the Weller Family has been up to lately. We went to Deception Pass and the girls loved throwing the rocks and collecting teeny tiny white shells, went to Harvey AirField to watch our friends sky dive and inbetween worked on the yard and enjoyed their company.

Good thing they had a play structure for the girls to play on.

It's been way too long!

I bet our lack of posting on a regular basis has caused most of you to give up. We're sorry! I hope you can understand.

Today Mom stayed home with the girls. Isabelle was sick and it's awfully hard to take just one to school. So we had a nice morning together. We made doctor's appointment for Isabelle. We found out she has strep throat. Poor girl.

Our weekend consists of a birthday party on Saturday and I'm hoping to see a very dear friend on Sunday.

Here are some recent pictures of our beautiful girls!

And, the best Daddy & husband these girls could ask for!

Festival of Pumpkins in our home of Snohomish!

This is the month our town comes alive! We have several pumpkin patches and corn mazes. Our two favorites are Craven Farms and Stocker Farms. We have a bit of a connection with Stocker Farms as a few years ago I worked one summer before Isabelle was born at Stocker Farms market and the pumpkin patch in October while Toby drove the hay ride and was in charge of the pumpkin cannon during October. The Stocker Family is an amazing family of loyalty, hard work and love.
This past weekend we toured Stocker Farms and looked at all of the beautiful pumpkins and squash. Tonight is our 4 year Anniversary (wedding was located at Lord Hill Farms with pumpkins and caramel apples) and for dinner we had spaghetti squash with turkey herb meatballs and steamed beets. It was delicious.
How quickly life can change in 4 years but we wouldn't change a thing!
