The End of June

I don't have much to report. We had a wonderful Father's Day. We had breakfast with Toby's parents that morning, Toby relaxed that afternoon, and the evening we had dinner up at Nana & Papa's house. We also celebrated Lisa & Tracey's June birthdays. It was a wonderful evening. Here are a few pictures we've take this June. We're looking forward to the 4th of July!
Isabelle loves to paint!

Abby is getting so big!

Our happy Abigail. She learned to push herself up today 6-25.

*sad side note: Michael Jackson passed away today.

Snohomish River Trail

We love living close to downtown Snohomish! Every chance we get we like to walk to the Bakery and then along the river trail. This particular trip we threw rocks into the river and blew bubbles. It was a good day!

June

We're enjoying the warm summer days and evenings. We love our big backyard and trails through town. The Snohomish Market has started and Isabelle looks forward to walking to the market with Nana every Thursday. Here are a few pictures from Isabelle's birthday.

Isabelle's Birthday Invitation

Toby and I drew Isabelle's invitation for her 2nd Birthday. Toby did a beautiful job drawing Isabelle. Unfortunately, we ran out of time to mail it to the family so instead we emailed it. I'll upload pictures soon.

Happy Birthday Isabelle Katherine!

Today our beautiful girl turned 2! We wonder where the time went. We've had an amazing year--she's mastered walking, running and almost jumping and has an incredible vocabulary! We welcomed in her baby sister, Abigail and have enjoyed the two of them getting to know one another.

We had a 4 day weekend to spend together and enjoyed every minute.

Saturday we worked in the yard and filled up the pool, Sunday we took a trip to Whidbey Island and Isabelle enjoyed throwing rocks into the ocean, Monday we played outside and barbequed pizza and today we opened presents (new bicycle), had breakfast at the Bakery, went to storytime at the library and had cake with Grandma Weller and burgers at Red Robin with Nana.

Giraffes, Lions and Penguins Oh My!

The Saturday before Mother's Day we went to the Mom & Me at the Woodland Park Zoo. We all wore our cute t-shirts and looked at the animals. Isabelle enjoyed the giraffes and the new penguin exhibit and went on her first carousel ride--she was a bit scared.

After the zoo we toured Daddy's office (Isabelle thought it was the coolest thing) and we had lunch at the Sculpture Park. We wrapped they day up with a barbeque at the Wellers.
Toby and the girls fixed me eggs Benedict on Sunday and presented me with a beautiful card!

Well Check Appointments

I took the day of on April 24th to take the girls to the pediatrician. I was very anxious and I hoped the girls wouldn't be crying after their shots. It was one thing going with Isabelle but having Abigail made me a bit nervous. We arrived 15 mintues early which was good but they weren't able to see us early. As soon as Isabelle saw the door to the doctor's office she stopped and started to walk backwards. I was surprised she recognized where we were.
All in all the appointment went well. Isabelle was a very brave big sister and Abigail was a perfect patient. I was so happy and proud of them.

Here are the statistics.
Isabelle Katherine
23 months

Length: 36 1/2 inches (97%)
Weight: 30 lbs 4 oz (89%)
Head Circumference: 19 1/2 inches (94%)
Her next visit will be at 3 years!
Our next milestone--potty training & weaning her of the Pas (pacifier).

*Dr. Cumming's (doctor) comment "She has a very advanced vocabulary and speaks very well. I can understand everything she is saying."
A few favorites right now: Winnie the Pooh, digging in the garden, playing with her buckets and water outside, smiling with all of her teeth, helping Mom make dinner, building forts with Dad, waking up a wee bit early to lay in bed with Mom & Dad, helping with Abigial, talking to Siber & Berkeley, putting on her rubber boots, saying "Bless you Mommy" after Mommy sneezes. She's afraid of bugs and wants nothing to do with them--and washing her hair. She doesn't like water in her face.

Abigail Elise
7 months
Length: 28 1/8 inches (95%)
Weight: 19 lbs 8 oz (90%)
Head circumference: 17 1/4 inches (74%)
Our next visit will be at 9 months (no shots)!
Our current mission: Adding more solid foods to her diet, crawling.

A few favorites right now: Abby loves to smile and takes incredible pictures. She's rolling, pushing herself up and moving her legs but has not yet put everything together. She loves making Isabelle laugh and loves interacting with her sister. She too is enjoying Winnie the Pooh. Abigail still loves her bottle but is enjoying bananas, sweet potatoes, prunes, apricots and applesauce--we're still working on green beans and peas. As you can see from this picture Abigail's hair has stayed long but is almost blonde. She also loves watching Siber & Berkeley cross the room and if they're lucky enough pull their hair. Abby loves to grab and pinch everything--ouch!

How quickly they grow!

Weekend Fun House

As the weekend comes to a close, I remember the fun we had.

Daddy borrowed this from a friend for Isabelle's 2nd birthday but we thought we'd get a practice run in. It was a lot of fun--even for Momma!

And Daddy too!!

Rocking Chair

I was given an adorable childrens rocking chair from my girlfriend Alison. We just recently painted it the most beautiful blue. I think it's stunning and I wanted to share! Isabelle loves it.

fun moments

Here are a few photos from the past couple of days that we hadn't posted, but wanted share.

Snohomish Garden Sale

This morning was the Snohomish Garden Sale at The Farm. We found a few things to fill some of the holes in our yard from the plants lost this winter. Isabelle, though, was more interested in the jungle gym/slide/playtoy in the corner of the field. It was a great time and we are looking forward to getting our new additions planted.

Missing the Sunshine

This pretty much sums it up! A warm afternoon in our backyard is wonderful! Come back sunshine.

Warm Weekend

It's been too long and we apologize. With the warmer weather over the weekend we over exerted ourselves and after the girls were in bed we had no energy to write. Saturday we planted our first garden. Mixed greens, spinach and our favorite arugula.

Isabelle enjoyed playing in the wet dirt. We cannot wait to watch it grow. Isabelle enjoys helping Mama make salads for dinner.

a year ago this week

We were browsing through some photos from last year at this time and cant believe how much our little Belle has changed. We are looking forward to introducing Abby to summer in our backyard.
