Festival of Pumpkins in our home of Snohomish!

This is the month our town comes alive! We have several pumpkin patches and corn mazes. Our two favorites are Craven Farms and Stocker Farms. We have a bit of a connection with Stocker Farms as a few years ago I worked one summer before Isabelle was born at Stocker Farms market and the pumpkin patch in October while Toby drove the hay ride and was in charge of the pumpkin cannon during October. The Stocker Family is an amazing family of loyalty, hard work and love.
This past weekend we toured Stocker Farms and looked at all of the beautiful pumpkins and squash. Tonight is our 4 year Anniversary (wedding was located at Lord Hill Farms with pumpkins and caramel apples) and for dinner we had spaghetti squash with turkey herb meatballs and steamed beets. It was delicious.
How quickly life can change in 4 years but we wouldn't change a thing!

Harvest Celebration Farm Tour

Today, September 26th 2009 we decided to take the girls to one of the farms participating in the Harvest Celebration Farm Tour. We chose Full Circle Farm in Carnation. The girls enjoyed coloring, making lunch bags, balloon butterflies/flowers and the hay ride. The horses were beautiful and so were all the organic vegetables. After the farm tour we went to Snoqualmie Falls. It was a beautiful day! We had hoped to visit Ames Farm but the girls were tired and ready for a nap. The entire family actually napped today. It was heaven. Here are some pictures of our family day!

Finally A New Post!

WOW! Where does the time go? I haven't posted since July and now it's Fall. My apologies. Since my last post we celebrated Toby's birthday, my birthday, painted the house and just last weekend celebrated Abigail's 1st Birthday. We had a party--Abigail did great and Isabelle loved helping unwrap the gifts and testing out all of the toys. Both girls loved the carrot cake cupcakes.
The weather is incredible and our dahlias our blooming and beautiful. We're looking forward to the pumpkin patches and Halloween.

Here are some recent pictures.

July Summer Fun

We started swimming lessons at Forest Park in Everett. It's a beautiful facility and both girls are enjoying our time in the water together. This past weekend was Kla-Ha-Ya days and we watched the parade with the Mundy family. We're also beginning to sand our house to paint in a few weeks--hopefully we'll have enough energy to last us through the rest of summer. It's been a wonderful warm summer--we couldn't ask for a better one.

4th of July Weekend

This weekend we celebrated our nation's Independence. Toby & I were fortunate enough to get off a bit early on Thursday and make good time picking up my Dad from the airport and getting back to Snohomish. We took the girls to the Snohomish Farmer's Market and through town on a nice evening.
We are getting better and better at our barbequed pizzas. We made two. One had a tomato sauce with thyme, oregano, rosemary, minced garlic, sliced crimini mushrooms, red onion, pepperoni, mozzarella and grated parmesan. The second had drizzled olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, oregano, ricotta cheese, mozarella, grated parmesan and torn basil leaves. They were excellent!

Most of the weekend we spent in our backyard trying to stay cool--it was hot! I enjoyed an evening with my girlfriends celebrating Sara's birthday, a wonderful 4th of July party celebrating cousin Brady Austin's 1st birthday and doing a little bit of yard work. All in all it was a great weekend.
Abigail is trying so hard to walk and has 4 new teeth coming down. She's a trooper!

Happy Birthday Sisters

This month we celebrated Lisa & Tracey's birthdays. We love you both so very much!!

The End of June

I don't have much to report. We had a wonderful Father's Day. We had breakfast with Toby's parents that morning, Toby relaxed that afternoon, and the evening we had dinner up at Nana & Papa's house. We also celebrated Lisa & Tracey's June birthdays. It was a wonderful evening. Here are a few pictures we've take this June. We're looking forward to the 4th of July!
Isabelle loves to paint!

Abby is getting so big!

Our happy Abigail. She learned to push herself up today 6-25.

*sad side note: Michael Jackson passed away today.

Snohomish River Trail

We love living close to downtown Snohomish! Every chance we get we like to walk to the Bakery and then along the river trail. This particular trip we threw rocks into the river and blew bubbles. It was a good day!

June

We're enjoying the warm summer days and evenings. We love our big backyard and trails through town. The Snohomish Market has started and Isabelle looks forward to walking to the market with Nana every Thursday. Here are a few pictures from Isabelle's birthday.

Isabelle's Birthday Invitation

Toby and I drew Isabelle's invitation for her 2nd Birthday. Toby did a beautiful job drawing Isabelle. Unfortunately, we ran out of time to mail it to the family so instead we emailed it. I'll upload pictures soon.

Happy Birthday Isabelle Katherine!

Today our beautiful girl turned 2! We wonder where the time went. We've had an amazing year--she's mastered walking, running and almost jumping and has an incredible vocabulary! We welcomed in her baby sister, Abigail and have enjoyed the two of them getting to know one another.

We had a 4 day weekend to spend together and enjoyed every minute.

Saturday we worked in the yard and filled up the pool, Sunday we took a trip to Whidbey Island and Isabelle enjoyed throwing rocks into the ocean, Monday we played outside and barbequed pizza and today we opened presents (new bicycle), had breakfast at the Bakery, went to storytime at the library and had cake with Grandma Weller and burgers at Red Robin with Nana.

Giraffes, Lions and Penguins Oh My!

The Saturday before Mother's Day we went to the Mom & Me at the Woodland Park Zoo. We all wore our cute t-shirts and looked at the animals. Isabelle enjoyed the giraffes and the new penguin exhibit and went on her first carousel ride--she was a bit scared.

After the zoo we toured Daddy's office (Isabelle thought it was the coolest thing) and we had lunch at the Sculpture Park. We wrapped they day up with a barbeque at the Wellers.
Toby and the girls fixed me eggs Benedict on Sunday and presented me with a beautiful card!
